1.) Make sure all doors and windows are secure before leaving or retiring for the evening. 2.) Lock and Secure car doors and windows, this includes RV's. 3.) Add lighting to the exterior of your home. 4.) Keep bushes and vegetation trimmed back for easier visual scanning of your property. 5.) Place all valuables i.e., Bikes, lawn mowers, etc. in secured areas, don't leave unattended. 6.) Make sure all emergency numbers are easily accessible to each member of your household. 7.) Notify neighbors if you will be away for an extended period of time. 8.) Also give contact numbers of where you can be reached in an emergency. 9.) Make a list of serial #s of all valuable items, i.e., Tools, Bikes, Guns, TV's, Stereos, etc. 10.) Have house numbers visable from the street so emergency personnel is able to locate you quicker.
