The Emmett Police Department is located in the heart of the Gem County valley with the City of Emmett being the county seat. The Emmett Police Department fields 24 hour patrol officers, a full time investigations team, one narcotic K-9 team, a reserve officer program and a citizen’s on patrol program. |

In 2010 the Emmett Police Department received over 24,900 prescription pills from our community. Due to the positive input from our citizen’s we will again offer this program in 2011 and 2012. The scheduled dates so far are:
December 29, 2011 January 26, 2012 February 23, 2011
The drug drop off will be from 8:30 AM until Noon on the above dates at the Emmett Police Department, 501 East Main Street. |

The Emmett Police Department would like to remind our citizens to take a little extra time and lock your vehicle and house doors. We are having an increase in thefts from homes and vehicles and your help in this can make a difference. Also, with new gifts you receive from the holidays, please remember to write down the serial numbers and if possible, scribe your initials or other markings onto the items for easy identification. |
